Offered for a one year lease, is a furnished two bedroom hunter's cabin on 160 secluded acres, 85 miles from the California border on Interstate 5. The person who leases the cabin will be given a LOP (land owner preference) cow elk tag. Up to three tags for spike and branch bulls may be used by the parties leasing the property, along with other legal game hunts. The lease will start April 1st when the tag application will be submitted. The cow hunting season runs from August through the rest of the lease. The property is adjacent to BLM and timber company land with private access from the ranch with excellent turkey, deer, and bear hunting. There is a pond stocked with trout for easy fishing---great for the kids. The ranch has roads throughout for four wheel drive, a garage and some fenced dry land pasture adequate for several horses. Bull elk start bugling in September---you can hear them from the cabin! This is the first time this property has been offered to the public for hunting. Friends who have hunted all over the state refer to this as "the honey hole". In 2007 the state record bull was taken here. Our elk herd has been nurtured and managed over the last 15 years, growing from numbers of 25 to the 70's today. We would like to share with someone who will appreciate and respect the beauty and the bounty of this land as we have.

Here is a view of the valley the property is nestled in. This photo was taken from the BLM beyond the property.

The picture on the left shows a gate at the upper end of the property that leads to timber company and BLM land. To the left is a view of an upper meadow.
